There are various reasons why adequately understanding the health care system at the local level is crucial when planning an EBP implementation. First, the success of EBP implementation depends on the use of various resources that are obtained locally such as human resources and financial resources. As such, a proper understanding of health care at the local level is crucial for the mobilization of funds and human resources such as nurses, doctors, and other care providers needed for the EBP implementation (Stanhope & Lancaster, 2019).
Secondly, understanding the health care system at the local level is essential in acknowledging the current organization policies and culture, including the customs of the local communities. The knowledge of existing policies and cultural practices is important in influencing an EBP implementation because it creates an understanding of the behaviors of key stakeholders in the implementation process (Berkowitz, 2021). Another reason for understanding the health care system at the local level is to enhance knowledge of the organization’s structure and leadership (Berkowitz, 2021). Understanding the leadership and organization structure is instrumental in availing essential resources for EBP implementation such as training opportunities, human resources, and financial resources.

The anecdotal evidence from my course preceptor that will be taken into consideration in the EBP implementation includes ethical and regulatory compliance. As a nurse practitioner, it is important to ensure that the project is implemented within the parameters of ethical and regulatory requirements, especially the factors concerning the safety and health of people and their cultural practices (Dzwigol et al., 2019). The other critical factor is the involvement of the local communities and agencies.
