Translational research entails adoption of scientific investigation or inquiry into a certain issue facing health practices to overcome such issues that leads to a rise in aggregate health performance of individuals and communities. Translational research leads to discovery of new and innovative ways to enhance access to healthcare. The development of new treatment and care delivery models like the value-based care and technologies like telehealth emanate from translational research. The promotion of primary care interventions to reduce the prevalence of non-communicable diseases like diabetes and obesity arise from increased use of translational research that offers models to improve health and mitigate chances of developing these conditions.
