Stetler’s model and Kotter’s change management models are two prominent models that have been significant in healthcare. Stetler’s model of research utilization allows research practitioners to examine how research findings can be integrated into nursing practice (Indra, 2018). The model focus on the use of evidence in creating organizational change. Besides, it also addresses how nursing practitioners can use research on an informational basis and as part of critical thinking in nursing practice. On the other hand, Kotter’s change management model focus on the people involved in the proposed change within an institution (Harrison et al., 2021). For instance, motivating nurses to adopt new technology to reduce nurse orders is defined in Kotter’s change management theory. These two theories are important in managing change in healthcare.
