Week 6 Assignment 1: Post-Term Fetal Surveillance Worksheet

Value: 100 points

Due: Day 7

Grading Category: Written/Oral Assignments
Introduction

One of the riskiest times in pregnancy is during the post-term days. Although we, as providers, estimate the date of delivery using Naegele’s rule, the dating at times can be off, and some pregnancies go past their due date, even if the correct date is determined. This post-term period can be very dangerous for mom and baby, as the placenta and maternal body become less able to function fully. Keeping this in mind, this assignment will help you to identify appropriate surveillance tests used to ensure a safe delivery for mom and baby.

You will complete the Week 6 Post-Term Fetal Surveillance Worksheet (Word) for this assignment.
